Data/Render Wrangler – CG/VFX Studio
A leading CG studio that produces stunning work for global brands is looking for a data wrangler to join the team in Central London on a permanent basis. You will be working closely with system engineers, pipeline developers, and production staff in order to effectively support the rendering infrastructure.
Main responsibilities;
*Responsible for
*on time
*completion of tasks assigned to them by the lead project artist
*Should be ready to work flexible hours when required and assist with out of hours data operations requests
*Escalate issues on time to lead project artist
*Work independently as well as part of a team
*Monitor the render farm and track render tasks. Identify render errors and fix/escalate to the relevant department
*Communicate to the lead project artist when encountering render issues
*Attend necessary departmental and team meetings
*Follow established processes and consult lead artists when unsure
*Keep up to date on new tools and techniques
*Balance multiple project resource needs within the Company‘s physical capacity
*Liaise with developers regarding possible render
*optimisation
*Monitor disk/data usage to ensure availability of disk resources
*Marshalling
*production assets in preparation of archiving
*Maintenance and upkeep of the shader and texture libraries
Desirable Skills:
*Experience with Maya, Nuke, Vray and Deadline
*Python or shell scripting experience
